Foreign Licence Permit Application

International visitors coming to Guyana can apply for a Guyanese Driver’s Licence using your valid Foreign Licence.

If you are expected to be in Guyana for two weeks or more, then you can make an application for a Licence at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport or visit our Headquarters. It is imperative to note, you will be required to use your Foreign Licence in conjunction with your new Guyanese Driver’s Licence while driving in Guyana.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A Valid Foreign Driver’s Licence (original and copy); if licence is not in English, a translation of the document from the respective Embassy or International Language Institute.
  2. A valid form of Identification (Identification Card or Passport)
  3. One (1) passport- sized photograph
  4. Completed Application Form

Validity Period: One month
