If you plan to migrate or visit any of the following Countries listed below, you can be issued with an International Driver’s Permit. It is important to note, the International Driving Permit will only be issued for the class of vehicle that you are currently allowed to drive in accordance with your Guyanese Driver’s Licence. Additionally, the license will be valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of registration.
The countries that are parties to the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic and would accept the International Driving Permit are as follows:

- Guyanese Driver’s Licence (must be valid for the next 6 months)
- National Identification Card or Passport
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Three (3) passport sized photographs
- Completed Application Form
- Applicant must be eighteen (18) years or older
